jewelisheaven Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Unfortunately your error in setup was to use your download as the 2 Mbit, what was the OTHER number for your speedtest (upload)? The drop-down in the Speed Guide represents the essential ambivalence toward download speeds, because what benefits the swarms you connect to is your upload. Since you can achieve > 2Mbit down for HTTP there is a possibility your ISP does not shape torrent traffic, but it may since your sustained download previously was 15 KiBps.What colour is the network status light icon in the status bar? Have you gone through Ultima's How-To and tested either or both of the following torrents for sustained download speeds: http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ http://www.slackware.com/torrents/ ?If you find you are severely limited in your downloads, you can try the new pre-beta 1.8 line of uT (found here) which has implemented some workarounds for automated shaping borne between collaboration of uT and azureus developers. As far as the "socket" error, a full paste of it would help, is it under the tracker status (under General tab) or the status column (torrent pane)?
Teni40 Posted January 6, 2008 Author Report Posted January 6, 2008 i went thro setup the other number was 21 after i divided it by 8 and times by 0.8 i got 2.1 so i put 2 in the global upload box and changed the setting from2 megs to 120k i think the coulour on the status bar is blue i tryied them downloads to c my max speed and it was stil at 15kb max il try the beta version later..and the socket thing that keep flicker on and of with working while downloading is....A request to send or receive date was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call)no addredd was supplied
