jarrods Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 Hi,I have my maximum upload speed set to "Automatic" in the Global Bandwidth Limiting and that works very well and I like the feature of showing the changing maximum with the lighter red line in the speed graph. When I configure the scheduler to limit my download speed (for the times outside of the free off-peak download period offered by my ISP) I do not put anything for "Limited upload rate". I was hoping that the Global setting of Automatic would apply but putting nothing in this setting seems to set unlimited Uploads. It would be great if scheduler could use Automatic if no overriding setting is stipulated.Jarrod
jewelisheaven Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 Yea the automatic upload is not setup for the alternate scheduler speeds. You will need to specify a number there. I'm not sure if that's a good idea for unlimited to be a default, especially when many people try that for their original limits and find it causes trouble.
zoom32 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Theres a very good prog out there that allows this and much more as far as allowing and disallowing speeds on the fly basically shaping at user level its called Netlimiter and is an awesome tool also a great firewall when enabled to do so.ZOOM32
DreadWingKnight Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 It's really not that great zoom. It fucks up all speeds when used with bittorrent clients.
