mgray Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Once the torrent is done, I like to change the folder its in but I want to keep seeding. Problem is, when I reset the download location and force a re-check the status goes from 100% to most of the time 0%, sometimes any amount between 0-100%. Nothing changes, nothing is deleted, all I do is move the folder. So why does it change from 100% and prevent me from seeding? I dont want to have to download more than once just to keep seeding. Thanks
mgray Posted January 8, 2008 Author Report Posted January 8, 2008 You would think, but no, I've made sure. Its the proper folder containing all the files.
jewelisheaven Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 And verifying by right click "open containing folder" pops up the expected folder?
mgray Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 Yeah.....and its not always 0% but sometimes after the move goes to 97% or 85% and I'm not altering any files. Its just music thats being copied into iTunes.
DreadWingKnight Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Music + itunes = re-tagged files.Blame itunes.
jewelisheaven Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Tell it to not re-tag files in your download folder.
Firon Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 iTunes retags all files. Do not use iTunes, or find a way to disable this "feature."
mgray Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 Right on thanks guys, that makes sense. Didn't know a retag would cuase everything to go outa wack. I guess thats how precise torrents are when checking contents
jewelisheaven Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 They are byte-for-byte duplicates of the source Be sure to thank those dedicated admins above in the official appreciation thread. You have no idea the flack they get for doing what they do. A simple thank you may go a long way in ensuring they don't end up dead one day soon from too much stress <3 the uT admins.
