Saber_RBP
Hey, first off thanks in advance to anyone who takes time to help me, I'm fairly new to this torrent business so bare with me so please try to be patient. I believe i'm getting slow download speeds using uTorrent, they avarage 20/40kbps but I have BT option 3(upto 8 meg) with a BT Homehub so I am sure they should be faster than that, I've done a speed test and the results came back IP profile for your line is - 6500 kbpsDSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 7616 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 3980 kbpsI've played about with port settings on the hub and a few other things on the uTorrent settings but nothing seems to make my speeds go up, i delete torrents once i download them and someone said I shouldn't be doing that because I am not seeding, could that have an effect?thanks again in advanceps I am using vista and the green light is always on at the bottom of uTorrent
Switeck
uTorrent has a function called Speed Guide (CTRL+G)...on it you probably need the xx/384k setting -- though if you wanted to you could try the xx/512k setting with upload speed reduced to 40 KiloBYTES/sec.
