Ultima Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Try disabling the Windows search indexing service (possibly from Start > Run > services.msc).
ichigo09 Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 it's still the same, could it be cause the file i zipped?
Ultima Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Check the General tab in µTorrent. See the "Save As" field? Copy and paste it somewhere. From there, copy the last item you see in the path (If it is something like C:\Downloads\Torrent, then copy Torrent; if it's something like C:\Downloads\hello.exe, then copy hello.exe). The next time you get the error, go to Process Explorer, press Ctrl+F, paste the directory/file name, and click Search. Is there any other application with a handle on the directory/file?
ichigo09 Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 no nothing is has an handel on it, doe's the fact that the file is zipped change anything? cause so far all the torrents i downloaded wheren't.
Firon Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Make sure WIndows Media Player isn't indexing your folders.
ichigo09 Posted January 16, 2008 Author Report Posted January 16, 2008 well it's not indexing any thing
jewelisheaven Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Perhaps giving a DLL list will show more. Do the same as before for Process Explorer, but this time, enable the lower pane (Ctrl-L), change it to DLL Mode (Ctrl-D), then select utorrent.exe and save Ctrl-A. Repeat the procedure you followed to paste the first log.
ichigo09 Posted January 18, 2008 Author Report Posted January 18, 2008 for some reason i tried downloading another torrent, changed where it will save, ane now it works!!!(for now that is) or could it be because of the new update?
jewelisheaven Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 The update was a bugfix for a possibility to remote crash uT if a long clientid is sent. If indeed saving to a different partition / directory changed it you may want to check permissions between the two folders to find the dissonance causing the troubles.
