kriskriskris Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 HISince last night, utorrent displays the red tracker error icon by all my torrents. This happens over time. I know there's not actually a tracker error, and restarting utorrent will make all the torrents green again. what's happening? I've had no problems whatsoever with utorrent since installing it and setting it up (the right way) in September. Now this, out of no where. What happened?Kris
jewelisheaven Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Hmm, possible network instability. It should be transient to go, as you saw it was transient to begin with. A pre-made answer for the error can be found @ http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_do_the_red_icons_mean_on_the_torrent_status_icons.3FIf it doesn't go away, it is possible something at your end crapped out or froze. Can you still access your modem / router via HTTP?
kriskriskris Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 I have an Airport Base Station, but yes, I can still access its settings. Anyone?? I don't know what to do about this. It might be a windows update that's causing this. Possible?
Ultima Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 What does the tracker status show? Have you checked the first link in my signature regarding interrupted connections and/or offline trackers?
Mac-the-Knife Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 There is a problem with one of the latest updates from Microsoft KB941644, I unistalled it and everything fine, unfortunately it seems to keep installing itself. I phoned the Microsoft tech number and the guy thinks it's because my comps about five year old and needs drivers updating and such, asked me if I wanted to pay for a years support, informed him (not) of course I will pay for something microsoft has put out that causes me not to be able to use a program. I have informed one of the site administrators of the problem, is there nowhere they can put this so people won't keep asking the same question.
Firon Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 Lower your net.max_halfopen to 8 or less.
