I port forwarded but it made my computer crash

Did you only port forward TCP or did you port forward both TCP and UDP?

DHT uses UDP, but it's too much on some routers.

Resolve IPs is also a bit much on some routers.

Ditto for high half open rates. (The default of 8 is more than high enough if you've got the green light in uTorrent.)

UPnP isn't necessary if you port forwarded your router and can cause extra loads leaving it on.

did both TCP and UDP ~ high-half open rate at *4 ~ just turned off my UPnP don't have speed problems at the moment as port forwarded just inbound and not outbound but don't no if it will crash again yet i had port forwarded both resolve ip have got them turned off just crashed at 18:01 have turned inbound off and disabled the DHT

Well it shows no obvious incompatibilities from what I see. I do however have to ask are you running both those video editing software concurrently with uT? I don't actually know what happens when uT can't get the CPU cycles to do its I/O operations as I've only experienced uT spiking CPU usage so if you're trying to run those simultaneously, it may be something out of your control. On another tack, I see you run Bitcomet and uT on startup... Unless you have patched your tcpip.sys and KEPT the default Ctrl-P -> net.max_halfopen I think that may be where your system is being forced to be unstable with that configuration.

Also of note, if you can download peak speeds surpassing 300 KiBps it means you're on a 3 Mbit line, not the crippled speed you showed in your speed test.

Edit: OK after seeing this HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{572347F4-A61D-4E24-90F6-6D1A9177A0E7}: NameServer = 192.168.0.1,192.168.0.2 and seeing you have a netgear process running I would double-check if you can get your router to forwrad the DNS servers IT USES to your computer, or you can manually set them (if you're not running DHCP)... forwarding ports increases router load by orders of magnitude... and DNS lookups on those peers can make an already borderline hardware unstable to the point of total internet failure.

did run bitcomet but deleted it before downloading utorrent but it's obviously still there in some way, also the same with adobe that is now not on comp now using avid but do have sonic foundry videofactory. as for the download speed the best i've see on utorrent was around 180kB/s the line i'm on is up to 2mb. as for the DNS servers i did only have the one there was a DHCP server that is in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe but it's now says dhcp enabled.......: no . the second DNS address i put a 2 instead of a 1 this may have been an error. how do i forward the DNS servers ?

In your network connection properties you should be able to just enable DHCP for DNS and IP address (as long as those features are turned on at your router's side) and it should go back to:

    Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes

Also I was referring to these lines for "video editing" as well as running TMPGENC

E:\avid liquid 7\Program\STUDIOU.MOD
E:\avid liquid 7\Program\Watchu.exe
E:\avid liquid 7\PROGRAM\VFCOLU.EXE
E:\avid liquid 7\Program\UMI.EXE
E:\avid liquid 7\Program\RM.EXE
E:\avid liquid 7\Program\nwattach.exe

Downloading at 180 KiBps in uT is indeed quite close to 2 Mbit down speed. But the important question is are you able to upload at or near your max-set upload speed (scaling to 5 or 30 seconds in the Speed tab should more or less show a horizontal line)?

was having a look at portforward about setting up a static ip address and i had misread the bit about domain name server so i when into my router status and got my 2 domain name servers and put them in my static ip internet protocol [tcp/ip] properties have forwarded my ports and every thing ok at the moment will keep you posted [good or bad] time will tell thanks for all your help i'm hoping for the best as for the speed the up speed is at the top of the chart at about 22kB/s and it was a virtual horizontal line bad news it crashed 3 times over the weekend it lasts longer but there is still a problem you said in the network connection properties

Code:

Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes

Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes but i cant find them there please help
