ICleolion
When you click on HELP -> UTORRENT WEBPAGE it opens the Utorrent webpage in an IE window that you already have open. Could this please be changed to open the webpage in a new IE window regardless of whether i have one open or not already.
Guest
Uh, that's an IE setting. In IE, Tools -> Internet Options, Advanced Tab, "reuse existing windows" or something like that.
ICleolion
Oh ok so it is. But still the program can be made to automatically override that setting right? I remember back when i was coding flash i could force IE to open a new window for my links.
ievolver
..dunno if anyone have noticed, but uTorrent opens the link in the default web browser - not necessarily in IE. For an example, I use the best browser currently available (Opera) and it opens the uTorrent home page in a new tab.
r00ted
In my HTML class, there was a base command to set a link to open in a new window, something that could be assigned to the link(s) within the µtorrent client?
hofshi
I use the other best browser currently available (Firefox) and it opens the uTorrent home page in a new tab.
ICleolion
well regardless of whats best and what isnt, IE is still used, and there are people out there who dont know about the advanced settings, wont think to post/search here for a solution because they take it for granted, but who would like utorrent to open the webpage in a new window for them. Granted it may be a minor amount of people, but likewise it will only take a minor amount of code to make this work.
chaosblade
You can set the target of the a href tag to a new window if you want.
