MegaJ Posted January 14, 2008 Report Share Posted January 14, 2008 I've had utorrent for months, and loved it. It's been working fine for awhile, I am a student at a university. Over winter break I went home and utorrent still worked. I am back at university and I tried to download a torrent. I use Firefox and go through the normal steps (open with utorrent)...and nothing happens. Is my school's network doing something? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jewelisheaven Posted January 14, 2008 Report Share Posted January 14, 2008 It may be. Try saving it as a text file or using magnet: links (1.8 pre-beta handles them rather robustly now). I'm not sure other steps to try, since you are on campus you are more than likely hopelessly firewalled the best you can do is use the scheduler to keep you from sapping all the bandwidth during peak hours and run it @ like 2 Mbit upload during non-peak. Mac-the-Knife Posted January 14, 2008 Report Share Posted January 14, 2008 I have posted this a few times, if uTorrent is not connecting to tracker then it is most likely the new update from Microsoft, KB941644.
