muay Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 hello when downloading in tracker status it says Failure:acces denied, leeching forbidden, you are only allowed to seed. it flashes between this and working. what does it mean. thank you.
Ultima Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 It's a tracker issue that means you aren't uploading enough. If their claims are accurate (and I would be inclined to believe so), then my only advice to you would be for you to run the Speed Guide properly (as per the instructions), and stop being a leech. BitTorrent is a P2P protocol, so if you don't upload back what you've received, you're not understanding the essence behind it all. There isn't anything we can actually do about it.
muay Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 ok see what you mean. i have set it up with speed guide now my upload is well higher than my download and it says the same thing and instead of working it says off line. by its hard work all this mate.
Ultima Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Yes, it's saying the same thing because the tracker probably banned you already.
muay Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 so when i set up useing speed guide will my upload always be higher than my download.thanks for helping me with this.
Ultima Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 No, it's not that your upload will always be higher than your download. It'll make sure you're uploading at the optimal speed for your connection. After the torrent finishes downloading, you should allow it to continue uploading (seeding) until the ratio reaches at least 1.0.
