jewelisheaven Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 You are downloading past your theoretical speeds Well not exactly, but very close. You cannot download any faster. As kurahashi-san will attest you are confused due to the units problem faced by anyone who reads ISP advertisements and notices "hey I'm only downloading 100 KiBps but my ISP says I have 1 Mbit"... You are not alone The difference stems from the fact that ISPs and speedtests use kilobits per second (Kbps) but uT and other windows applications use KiBps (kibibytes per second). Since there are 8 bits in 1 Byte that is where the apparent discrepancy comes from.Do you have any other questions?
