DreadWingKnight
What internet security software do you have installed?Software firewalls are typically stupid and think that new versions of the same program are different programs, and default to blocking them. Firon
I don't know. It's your firewall, you should know how to use it.

DreadWingKnight
Turning off doesn't remove the hooks it puts in place.
jewelisheaven
Is the setup for your computer ISP -> modem -> router -> computer(s) ? In that case you don't need a software firewall aside from the windows firewall (which uT works with quite well). Checking through Ultima's compiled How-To for Troubleshooting lists many steps to try in making sure settings are correct and proper functioning of uT is attained. I like to try and start at the closest end to the ISP that I can first and work towards me (sitting at my keyboard at my computer). If you have not changed anything in your router, then you only need to pop in there and make sure your rules are still set for your selected port. Also verifying that settings (if available) on your modem are setup for previous correct operation is a next step. Afterwards, it comes to your computer which is the battleground for software warfare: internet security, anti-worm, spyware, malware, system troubleshooter, automatic defragmenting, it's a wonder the computer does anything As stated above you don't need McAfee if you have a router on your premises. jewelisheaven
OK so going through the guide again, with your current setup you are only looking at hardware possibilities which may interfere with your properly functioning uT. Have you made sure your MODEM does not include a firewall component (meaning it is a modem+router)? Have you ensured that the rules on your router allow your PORT (Ctrl-G) to your IP (ipconfig) as shown from http://portforward.com/guides.htm ?
