Rancor Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 My internet connection: i use ADSL router to connect, and i have to use VPN after it, to achive unlimit-based internet. When i was using Windows XP all was fine. Now - i disabled windows firewall, i opened all ports on router, and still i dont get any incoming connections, and all ports that i check here: http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port= are closed.Any ideas? and sorry for bad english.
jewelisheaven Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 What is your setup? If it is ONLY ISP -> modem -> computer follow the procedure in the How-To for pasting logfiles (My method). If you have ISP -> modem -> router -> computer , you need to follow the procedures there... If for your VPN you get a separate IP , you may need to use Ctrl-P -> Advanced net.bind_ip and outgoing_ip for the specific connection. This information is also found in Ultima's µManual.
Rancor Posted January 17, 2008 Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 Its my computer -> modem_in_router_mode -> ISP -> VPN ->And yes, i get different IP after VPN. VPN is just method how i get unlim based internet. I still can use torrent without it, but have to pay for each single downloaded megabyte I`m think its problem how vista see my two connections- LAN-to modem + VPN, and cant NAT it properly or something.I have that since installation, no additional firewalls-antiviruses-etc.. problem in the vista itself, so i guess no need to post my services log.
jewelisheaven Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 If it shows up as a separate connection in Vista's equivalent to XP's Network Connections... you can tell uT to bind to it, as described in the manual. Otherwise, yea look around for other pre-made guides or user suggestions would be my next step. I understand trying to get around quotas they suck!
Firon Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 You need to bind µTorrent's incoming and outgoing IP to that of the VPN.
