myrnamarie Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Should the upload speed double the down speed? currently I'm having problems with the down speed being slow, around 40 kb/s (high speed internet), but I noticed that the up speed is running at around 70 kb/s. Is this correct?
jewelisheaven Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 ... What is your speed test results? Normal for everyone, NO. Those without xx/512 or 768 Kbps connections cannot possibly upload that high.
myrnamarie Posted January 18, 2008 Author Report Posted January 18, 2008 the 8 meg speed test results in 112 kb/s.What should my queueing be set at? as well as bittorrent settings (global # of connections etc)?
jewelisheaven Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Use the Speed Guide. Run your speed test, use the UPLOAD speed as your xx/NUMBER and it will set it for you. Do you work after that? Checking your upload speed in the Speed tab, you should see a relatively horizontal line at or near your max set upload (128->~14KiBps)
AllGamer Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 set the download speed to Unlimited.Since there isn't much you can do with the Download speed, because it's determined by the combined upload speed of other peers/seeds in the torrenttherefore it'll only go as fast as other people allows it to go, and that is determined by their upload speed.on a positive side of things, having more uploads than download, means you're seeding more than downloading, and that is a good thing
