jewelisheaven
Tell Kaspersky to fix their program!! I'm slightly appalled that such a well respected engine misbehaves in this way.Running the uncompressed executable is not a solution.
Firon
Can one of you Kaspersky users please try redownloading 1.7.6? D-light, you can try it too.http://download.utorrent.com/1.7.6/utorrent.exeThis exe has been compressed with UPX 3.00 instead of 3.02. (it is otherwise identical to the "old" 1.7.6). I wanna see if this resolves the problem. 1.7.5 used 3.00, which is why that version might work for you guys.
AINGEAL
I had the same problem, with no activated Firewall. The problem however occured with one particular torrent file. Strangely enough, the error message "hostname not found" has vanished and the download continues.. though quite slowly.
