DreadWingKnight
What happens when you hover over both of them?
jewelisheaven
Right.. what happens when you try to OPEN both windows (single or double click based upon your Preferences)? You may have two run entries... have you recently allowed uT to upgrade to 1.7.6? In that case you may also have two paths to uT still in memory. Ultima
It's pretty doubtful that it's a second instance without the user knowing, since second instances must be run with a change to the command line option. I'm inclined to believe it was a crash, like DWK's post implies
jewelisheaven
DWKnight never implies anything I presumed that also one of the icons would go away, BUT with my response the OP can say "I couldn't get both icons to pop up with the window, only one would.. the other disappeared" :9 I try to make things easy, for me other helpers (inlcuding you and the other dedicated staff) and the poster involved. Clear logical progression will solve all problems eventually.

jewelisheaven
download process explorer won't you? what you're looking for is the two instances of uT loaded. if you double click on the process name the status window comes up. Could you paste BOTH processes "command line" fields from the "Image" tab?
Firon
Open msconfig and look for multiple utorrent entries in the startup section. Remove all but one, I guess.
