charliehorse Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Assume my port for uTorrent is 32762. When I hit 'Advanced'/'reset bans' - very often I get a response 'Unbanned 192.168.1.2:32762' - my local ip:open port for uTorrent. Why does this happen?/does it affect my downloads?Installed:Windows Vista Business 64 bit OS2Gb ramIntel 2cQ 6600 not overclockeduTorrent installed 1.7.6 Build 7859
AllGamer Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 are you running more than 1 BitTorrent software in your residence?
jewelisheaven Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 This is to keep you from connecting to yourself. No it won't affect your downloads µT became intelligent about banning your externalIP:port and LANIP:port a while back and it's just to make sure you don't connect to yourself.
charliehorse Posted January 19, 2008 Author Report Posted January 19, 2008 uTorrent is the only client I run. Thanks for the responses! C
