Venture
I was notified of the new version so I downloaded it as you do, but it still said 1.7.6 at the top so I tried restarting my computer...didn't work...restarted it again...didn't work either and now none of my torrents will connect at all. It still says 1.7.6 and when I click to check for updates it says there is no new version available at this time.If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it. jewelisheaven
?? The update was FOR 1.7.6. What specific problems are you having. Have you looked at all at the previous threads made about this. You may want to check out the How-To as well as http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=300000#p300000. Venture
Yeah you're right it was supposed to be 1.7.6, silly me. I can download ok but im not sure if I can seed because I usually have at least three active torrents uploading and now I have none.
jewelisheaven
err.. so you have three ACTIVE downloading torrent but no seeds? Are there torrents listed as "seeding" status under the "Inactive" or "completed" categories (press F7 to enable category pane if not already enabled)? If so what are their tracker status (general tab)?? What do you mean you have 3 uploading... Ctrl-P -> Queueing lists total active torrents, and total downloading... if active - downloading is 3, then you should have > 1 Mbit upload to handle those slots (as default, Ctrl-G settings it takes minimum of xx/512 to even have THREE TOTAL)... If you modify your upload slots however I can see it being done lower, but you're putting yourself out for bandwidth if you don't have upload slots on ~ 20% of your actively connected peers (20 connections per torrent means you should have 4 upload slots, etc) due to unchoking happening every minute.Could you provide a bit more information about your current settings? Venture
Nevermind, my torrents suddenly started seeding again, it took a while though so I don't know why that was. Thanks for taking the time to try and help me
jewelisheaven
!! It's a shame you didn't catch what their status was before. I bet it may have been they were Checking due to an improper shutdown. Can you check to see if Ctrl-P -> Advanced -> bt.graceful_shutdown is set to true. If you experience alot of crashing or turn off your computer regularly you may want to invest in turning that ON so that you don't have to recheck your files EVERY restart of uT. Glad you're back up like before.
Venture
Sorry for the late reply, it is set to false and sorry I can't remember their status now. Thanks though, I will try to remember that setting if I have that problem in the future
