DPOUL34 Posted January 21, 2008 Report Share Posted January 21, 2008 I get the message recently Error: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another program.I have never had this problem with this version or any of the older ones until recently. I do not have Google/MSN running as far as I'm aware, and only one instance of Utorrent is running at a time. I have not changed my antivirus ever - it's the same one I was using when the files would come in fine. For example, some torrents that I download come in fine and some get the error - even when I start them at the same time.Any help? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Once I eliminated the Roxio, 2 of the 3 torrents fired away at blazing speeds and finished downloading in 25 minutes. The last torrent still has the red X, and perplexes me. Ultima Posted January 22, 2008 Report Share Posted January 22, 2008 Unless you feel like shutting down the indexing service every time you start your computer up, you might want to consider looking around in the Roxio settings to see if you can disable media indexing. If not, you'll probably need to use msconfig to disable the Roxio stuff from starting up (unless it's a service, in which case Start > Run > services.msc would be the correct place to be disabling it). Sure it shows you're running both Nero Scout and Roxio Indexer which.. well, WOULD cause trouble if they are indexing your files.
