guitarnick
Greetings!I just installed the new version 1.7.6 and now my Anti Virus (Norton) Worm Protection repeatedly puts an alert window that a worm is trying to gain access to my computer. It says that uTorrent is the program and gives the remote and local adderss that is trying to gain access. I tell it allow access and I configured it to allow access from uTorrent forever, I even rebooted but it still comes up. This never happened with the previous version. Can I go to the previous version or is there something else I need to configure?Thank you for your help.
DreadWingKnight
Simple: norton is being overprotective. It's misinterperting something that uTorrent is doing as malicious. We don't support previous versions.
Firon
nothing new, just norton being stupid again, as usual.go to the worm protection, remove any entries regarding utorrent and then re-add an exception.
jewelisheaven
If you set it under exceptions to "always allow", tell the Norton support people their program is broken, as it doesn't work as configured. :/ Unfortunately the only way to get rid of it without a fix from them is to uninstall it. impulsebooks
I had the same thing happen to me.What I did was open Norton anti virus options and selected Internet worm protection. Clicked program control and found Utorrent in the list and deleted it, closed all the windows and then went back and readded utorrent in program control. No problems since.
