Ribber
Hi there, I have been downloading a torrent since Friday last week and it started off downloading very slow so I left it over the weekend, when I last looked it was sitting on 96.1% and it's been like that for the last 3 days it's telling me there is 0.948 availability, seeds 0(1) peers 1(3) Ratio 3.186 I've downloaded 149mb of 155 but uploaded 475mb. I really don't know what any of this means but it's just such a pain that there's only 4% left and it won't download! Anyone know what I can do to help it etc?ThanksDave
jewelisheaven
K, my first question to you: Are you connectable? Secondly unfortunately as you have seen, you are the most populous peer in the swarm. Availability is the total number of copies of the torrent in the swarm. The tracker stats 0(1) seeds means there is 1 seed according to the tracker but you're not connected to it, AND 1(3) peers means you are connected to 1 of 3. The ratio is the UPLOADED: DOWNLOADED, which is why the numbers are like that. If the site/tracker you got the torrent from has a comment or message feature you may want to request a reseed or comment that the seeder is firewalled :/ You really can't do anything on your end except make sure you're connectable. Ribber
How do I make sure I'm connectable? Basically does 0(1) seeds mean there is only 1 seed of this online and i can't connect to it?Image of my utorrent
Ultima
Yes, 0 (1) means there is potentially one seed in the swarm. The seeder might be using initial seeding, in which case you won't know it's a seeder -- you'll simply notice the availability increasing every now and then. Patience might be the only thing necessary here.Yes, your port is actually unforwarded (you can tell by looking at the icon next to the DHT status in the status bar). You might want to look into it -- read the setup guide if you haven't already done so.
