got_milk?
Hi everyone.I'm having a bit of an issue with uTorrent. Where I live, all the ISPs in my area throttle BitTorrent like crazy and prevent anyone from seeding. As a workaround, I turned on encryption - which worked, my speeds immediately jumped higher and I was able to seed - but my entire network has slowed to a crawl (e.g. webpages take 1 minute - 3 minutes to fully load, pings are abnormally high, etc.).I'm running Windows XP SP2, AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+ Dual Core processor (latest drivers btw), and 2GB of RAM.Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks. jewelisheaven
Sure, have you tried the How-To? Usually reducing the load on your network hardware (cutting connections drastically) resolves the issues. Increasing the numbers incrementally can help determine the fallover point where things degrade. If not, the rest of the 2nd post should help reduce extra features to get the overloading of your connection under control.
