crumbz
"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. "OK. I'm a nerd for not knowing this. I've used utorrent for about 4 months now with no problems ever. Now it won't let me download ANYTHING. I know it's not the program but maybe the setting on my computer because I have a torrent downloading in my other bedroom computer as I type. I've un-installed and installed like a crazy man.I'm very frustrated right now, does anyone have any help for me? I need to get it working/ downloading on my work pc!Thanks in advance. jewelisheaven
If you have two computers on yuor LAN trying to use uT you will need to setup port forwarding rules on your hardware for EACH computer. Have you gone through the Setup Guide (Guides link #3) on this 2nd computer?
funchords
That is the explanation for WinSock error 10061, and all it means is that there is no service at that IP address and port. It's the same response your system sends when you shut down uTorrent after a download but leave your computer on. The port is closed so the connection is rejected.
