Ok I need a little help here. I just got utorrent and downloaded it. Now when I say just got it, I got it on monday. I have also read all the guides I could find and even some of the post here. So beofre I'm asked yes I have read them. I have followed the directions and still get no ports open. These are the steps I took. each one on top of the other.

1st. I tried using the program with out changing anything = No ports open

2nd. I dropped my firewall on the computer. = no ports open

3rd. I set up a static ip address, and added this to my aap & games section of my router (Utor1, the current port, both, my ip address, enabled) I'm using a linksys wireless router = no port open.

4th. I dropped my firewall on my ISP (Windstream) = no ports open

5th. I then did port fowarding using the same info as above. = no ports open

6th. remove all setting and left the firewalls dropped. = no ports open

What have I done wrong. I've gone over the guides a couple of time to make sure I have not missed any thing. I'm about ready to throw the computer out the wind.

using Wndows xp

Not sure if this will help but I have two DSN address

Heres some more info . I figure the more info the better. I changed a few numbers to security resons of course.

What router are you using? When you set your static IP up, did you set it outside of your DHCP range? If you're using a Linksys router, the default range is (usually) 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.149 (50 IP addresses), which 192.168.1.105 is certainly within. An IP outside of that range would be something like 192.168.1.50.
