leaning Posted January 26, 2008 Report Share Posted January 26, 2008 hey,when i search for something the results automatically open in internet explorer...which more often than not freezes. how do i change my settings so that the results open in firefox, which is the browser i use. i hope someone can help.thanks. anoxan Posted January 27, 2008 Report Share Posted January 27, 2008 that never worked for me for some reason in xp, so I just open firefox, open preferences, and check the option in the general tab (or advanced apparently in ff3b2) "check to see if firefox is my default browser." it better be..on a side note, I hear ie8 is gonna rock. about as hard as ie7. Ultima Posted January 27, 2008 Report Share Posted January 27, 2008 IE7 isn't too awesome, so comparing IE8 to IE7's success isn't saying much Indeed, though, I do hear IE8's standards support is supposed to be better... Too bad Microsoft is so tied back by backwards compatibility; otherwise, they wouldn't have to propose the stupid extra meta tag to force IE8 into strict standards mode.
