arnstein
Linksys besr41 router. I've done everything for port forwarding I've read on port forwarding.com. Utorrent test shows it's not working, can't figure out why. Set up static IP 1 number outside the DHCP range; told the router gaming page to set up utorrent forwarding to what I think is the right port: 42968. And to the static ip number.I'm a comcast subscriber. Is the inability to dl files based on that? I checked encryption on utorrent options. My speed test shows 4908 Kbs DL/600 Kbs UL/103ms Latency. Not sure how to change my utorrent settings for that.Is there a way to help me figure out what's wrong with my port setup? Thanks

Ultima
Try connecting your computer to your modem to see if the port forwarding problem persists.Regarding the slow speeds... I'm not sure if fixing the port forwarding issue will totally fix the speeds, as Comcast actively interferes with BitTorrent traffic (to different degrees, depending on your location). You might want to try the µTorrent 1.8 alphas, though, which includes a workaround for certain cases of throttling.
