DOHuTorrent2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Report Share Posted January 26, 2008 How can I stop uTorrent From "Checking"?It's a 98% cpu usage process, and it pretty much means I can't use my computer for 20-30 minutes at a time.I read about the "shut uTorrent down properly" factor, but as far as I am able to determine, I am. If using the commands from within the program qualify.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.UPDATE - I increased the cache, and I'm activating graceful shutdown, so maybe that will fix it. Ultima Posted January 27, 2008 Report Share Posted January 27, 2008 Which you can find out by Start > Run > devmgmt.msc and checking if the primary/secondary IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers have any connected devices' current transfer mode in PIO.
