Thalas
Alright, I have the NetGear WPN824v2 Wireless Router and I have done everything the tutorials I read said to do.. but still, my port is not open. I've been to my routers site, checked and double-checked my IP address and changed the name of the port to uTorrent, uTor1, uTor, etc. (Not sure if the name of it really matters) I've also made it an exception in my firewall. But still, the stubborn bastard refuses to open. If anyone can offer some helpful advice I'd appreciate it greatly.
jim2057
Thalas, I have the same router and the same problem, even "knowlegable folks" cannot get my router to port forward. I have upgraded the software and punched in every combination of settings. Is there a problem with this router? If you find the answer please post it , thanks
GTHK
Try disabling the SPI Firewall and see if that lets you port forward, if it works, the router is broken.
jim2057
Thanks for the tip - Windows firewall is off, using ZoneAlarm with µTorrent permitted as a server, with no improvement, Also I turned off all firewall protection for a while to check that it wasn't a firewall problem

oddy1kenobi
I have an WPN824v1, but all I needed to do was to enable uPNP, and let utorrent connect with uPNP and VOILA! It worked..Otherwise try to change the port adress and see if that helps..
