jewelisheaven
Convert your drives to NTFS? sparse files (only available on NTFS drives) allows the files to only be allocated as much as you download.
LancerEvo
Hi, TQ for your reply........My drive is already NTFS and I have turned on SPARSE files. But it is STILL allocating the space for my downloads.ANy ideas???
jewelisheaven
With sparse files on, you will ALWAYS see the full size of files in explorer. The difference is when you go to properties you'll see SIZE = FULL_SIZE & size on disk = total downloaded so far.
barmental
I am sorry, I am not only new for uTorrent, but I am just silly user of the PC. So, I have started to download movies and after writing them on DVD, I delete all the data from my computer. I found out, however, that even after deleting the data my free disk space is still not returning to the previous state. After one month of use I have just several movies on the uTorrent, but free space is lower than it should be (like 60 GB lower). Could you explain what did I do wrong and help me to restore my free space?
jewelisheaven
... If you didn't delete the data, it's still on your hard drive. If you did delete it and "move to trash if possible" is enabled in uT, then try emptying your Recycle Bin.
barmental
When I am deleting the movie from uTorrent I am choosing "Remove And - Delete. torrent + Data". My Recycle Bin is empty. Should I choose another way of removing the data? Also, If I did not delete the data by the way that mentioned above, how can I enable "move to trash if possible" in uTorrent? Thanks for quick reply.
