1crazyboy7
Ok, I got a free port fowarding program since my speeds ussually suck in utorrent(there like 10 kb/s now, were at 0.3, used to be at 100 which i though was really good but its not compared to most ppl...and i have a good internet connection so...)Im using the program cuz actionecs login page wopnt let anyone login(it adds characters in the password box, like 2 more times then u do? and its not for security cuz it dosnt work...). So, im using port 62180, so i put that as my remote port. I think the remote ip adress would be uttorents ip adress which i THINK is 72.20.34.145. my ip adress i put it. But what is a local port??? jewelisheaven
For your router / modem, you want the local and remote port to be the same. That essentially tells the hardware "psst, you get packets on PORT 62180, send them OUT on 62180 AND send them to my IP (insert lan ip from ipconfig)." 1crazyboy7
Thanks, so for some reason also, I had to change my ip adress to 127.0.0.1, dunno why it wouldnt let me do the actuall ip adress? So, the program says started, its ported right, if so FINALLY! loledit: ummm, I noticed i accidently put the local port as 62180 instead of 62810, it worked before but it wasnt right. Now it wont work. What am I doing wrong?
jewelisheaven
Because the destination IP should be your LAN IP Address (start->run->cmd->ipconfig).
