murjo
Pros, please help....I have been using the Netgear WPN824v2 RangeMax (wired connection) for a while. Not a problem at all whatsoever - good up/down speeds. The other day I had to turn off the router and then it got all f*** up.All my port are forwarded properly.Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-50-8D-F5-B5-46Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : YesAutoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : YesIP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.2Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1I restart my PC then I connect to utorrent with green icon ok. 4-5-6 minutes later I lose it (yellow triangle). Same goes for eMule. I connect...not more than 5min later I lose the HIGH ID as well.Meanwhile, if I change some settings on the router, then I'm able to reconnect on utorrent with green icon, but the same story with losing the ID repeats right away.I've browsed around for this problem, but I don't seem to find the right answer. My guess is that the router settings got messed up some how when I turned off the router last week.I've tried using the DMZ option - doesn't help at all.I would be eveeeeeeerrrrrr soooo grateful if you could help me out. Ultima
Look through your router for some DHCP range, and set your computer's static IP outside of that range. Afterwards, re-forward the port to the new computer (removing the old port forwarding rule, or editing it).
murjo
Thank you for the suggestion, but it didn't really help. I decreased the DCHP range to .50, set my PC to .100, edited the port FW - it was all good for several hours and then it all went back to the same problem :( any idea why the hell it is doing this? jewelisheaven
it's overloading most likely. Turn off ALL extra features (How-To post #2) to see if that makes it last longer. If so it's your router being stupid about lease times or tracking connections. . .
