TheGRiM
Hi there just wondering if anybody knew of a guide to create a proxy on my server so that i can use it on local pc to download a torrent from a tracker that requires same ip to connect to tracker as the one that downloaded the .torrent file.Any help/info would be appreciated. Lord Alderaan
As far as I know Trackers that use IPs are very old. IP verification being crappy was pretty much the sole reason for the invention of the passkey. If they use old software it might be filled with bugs and I suggest you suggest to the tracker that they upgrade to some more recent tracker application. However to solve your case: Instead of setting up elaborate proxy systems simply keep your server logged into the tracker. For more info see this topic & post:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=208208#p208208Even if you login from your home PC, grab a torrent and use the webui to start it on your server your server will log in (and thus update the IP in their system) every x seconds which should allow your torrents to be verified and started,
