Jman1234 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I guess this is a little tweak, found it the other day but haven't tried it.<munched by admin - Editing compressed exes is bad, this hack is completely unsupported>
jewelisheaven Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 editing compressed EXEs is a bad idea. Also Notepad doesn't handle binary data that well.. CRLF are re-saved on exit.
Switeck Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I'm debating deleting this on account of the possible harm it can cause.
jewelisheaven Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I'd snip it if you really are that ... concerned. Leave the idea behind it. This of course depends on what that part of the compressed EXE really does.
Determination Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 how can this possibly be good and worthwhile? Editing a compressed exe with code that can be anything. If there was truely something to be gained from modifying the source, Ryan would just do it himself...
