not running program when torrent finishes downloading

Hey guys

Under "Properties/Advanced" tab there is an option to run program when utorrent finishes downloading. I want to have norton auto scan for viruses, yet the program doesen't execute when i give the right pathway. this function used to work in previous versions of utorrent, along with windows xp. now i can't get it to work in windows xp or vista. currently running utorrent 1.7.7. any help would be appreciated.

What version of Norton? What command are you feeding it in the field? :/

i've tried both norton internet security 2007, 2008. the command is C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\Navw32.exe. Thanks for any help you can give me

You're likely missing some launch parameters. As you see in the box around, you can include the placeholders. For example in batch files say I did explorer.exe %1 %2, %1 would be the first argument I supplied it with and %2 would be the second

so if i wanted to have the torrent files scanned after downloading i would put

C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\Navw32.exe %D?

or would it be %D C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\Navw32.exe

I really don't know anything about coding, so sorry if i seem ignorant on the syntax

If that's the syntax (you'll have to check Norton's Manual to be sure) yea, it should be at the end, whether %F or %D or %N depending if it's a SINGLE, MULTIPLE or RENAMED file torrent.
