Port Forwarding not working only on non-admin account with 1.7.7

I have used an older version of uTorrent for a while very happily. I just got a new computer and downloaded version 1.7.7. When I test the port forwarding in the speed guide on my admin account, it works just fine. On my other non-admin account, however, the port checker tells me that "the port does not appear open." I followed the insructions at portforward.com to set up a static IP address and port forwarding, but it didn't help. I'm running Vista, but my friend is running XP and having the same problem.
