eboris
I've been running 1.6.something for a long time, but finally upgraded to 1.7.7 a few days ago. Ever since then, I've been getting a lot of red down arrows, and some red up arrows with the explanation:No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.This refers to the tracker of course.I'm running XP Pro, with the Windows Firewall turned on, but utorrent is an "exception", and a Buffalo router with my utorrent port explicitly forwarded. The downloads proceed even after the red arrow comes up, which can happen at any point. Once the red appears, it never corrects. This is brand new behavior for 1.7.7. I don't think I've ever seen it before unless the tracker goes offline, which was a rare event. So, something is wrong. I'm going to try to reinstall an older version if I can find it. Hope this can be fixed.

DreadWingKnight
Did you remove and re-create the rules for uTorrent in the windows firewall?
DreadWingKnight
After looking at the other thread (And making a point that thread hijacking is bad) you need to look into http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992
eboris
Sorry if I was wrong to post there. Anyway, I've completely deleted utorrent from the firewall exceptions list, including in the registry, and re-enabled it after rebooting. So far everything is working, but it may take a while to see if that fix continues to work. Thanks very much for your help.
