DaVrOS Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Utorrent 1.7.7 picked up both of these despite the fact that my daily show RSS favorite has the minimum interval set at '12 hours'.the.daily.show.1.30.08.aviThursday, January 31st 2008 at 05:27:05 AM The.Daily.Show.01.30.08.DSR.XviDThursday, January 31st 2008 at 08:13:00 AM These are less than 3 hours apart.
jewelisheaven Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 And you're sure they downloaded from the same feed?
jewelisheaven Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Something about the feed is up... Aside from the inconsistent release time for that content. Was the infohash the same for both torrents?
Firon Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Test with 1.8.And make sure you don't have two favorites that could match those releases.
jewelisheaven Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 The Favourites tab in the RSS Downloader (Ctrl-R)
Sigh Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Confirming bug. This appears identical to a post that I posted to a private tracker's help board 5 days ago.Utorrent 1.7.7 picked up both of these despite the fact that my daily show RSS favorite has the minimum interval set at '12 hours'.the.daily.show.1.30.08.aviThursday, January 31st 2008 at 05:27:05 AMThe.Daily.Show.01.30.08.DSR.XviD-0TVThursday, January 31st 2008 at 08:13:00 AMThese are less than 3 hours apart. Is there something I'm missing here?I'd test this out with 1.8, but it's currently banned at the above-unmentioned private tracker. Sigh.
jewelisheaven Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Most beta clients (which pass "B" in client tag) are... I don't know what to say... I too enjoy the TDS and don't seem to have a problem with any (all 5) of the feeds I've got for it.Truthfully I think it's some setting you have set for your favourite which is telling uT that the one from the raw feed as an avi is different from the one with the decoded name without avi... Are you sure the 0TV one isn't compressed RARs
Sigh Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 I can't speak for the original poster, but neither of the two torrents were rar'd. I'm only monitoring one RSS feed, and it's that of a popular private TV Tracker that almost never has rars(99.9% of the time). Just in case, I've got all my feeds set to ignore rar'd files.I've only got 3 favorites. 1) TDS 2) TCR and 4) and PYL, an 80's game show
jewelisheaven Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 I couldn't tell you, short of listing the options set for that favourite.. a picture or the favourite the rss.dat itself. This sort of problem has also been reported quite recently but it referred to incorrect viewing of the actual rss.dat data and it too could not be reproduced :/
aassaf Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 hi,I am hoping you can help me. I have a great rss feed tvrss.net that i am using. But i can't figure out how to automate the downloading since episode filters don't work. How do you guys do it?Thanks,A
jewelisheaven Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 Use the rss tutorial http://utorrent.com/rsstutorial.php . Be sure to use a correct xml feed from tvrss. What part doesn't make sense?
aassaf Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 hi,Thanks for answering. I am not sure how to avoid duplicates if i can not use the smart ep filter. Could you perhaps walk me through it?Thanks,A
Ultima Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 What's wrong with the smart ep filter?
aassaf Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 hi,nothing is wrong, but tds is daily and so the tor has dates and not episode numbers. How can the ep filter handle these? Thanks,A
Ultima Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 You can make µTorrent delay the check using the "minimum interval" dropdown.
