bjdobson Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 I had to reinstall Vista last week and have everything up and running again but uTorrent's font is TINY! I can barely read it and it gives me a headache.I tried changing the windows fonts and using IE to fix that, too, and all my fonts are nice and the size I want them EXCEPT uTorrent's client. And please don't use this thread to bash Vista. I don't want to hear it, okay?Anyone know how to change the font on the uTorrent client? Here's a screen shot of how tiny it is.
jewelisheaven Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Why would anyone complain about Vista? You'd need to show some comparison text/screenshots... as I have no idea why that's incorrect. It looks like uT to me. Do you run a non-standard DPI in windows for fonts or your display adapter?
bjdobson Posted February 3, 2008 Author Report Posted February 3, 2008 Yes, I run with a large font - 120 DPI. I prefer larger than "standard" fonts and uTorrent is very tiny in comparison. The uTorrent screen is on the left - another window is on the right (Gmail). Gmail is my typical font size for most websites and such. See how tiny uTorrent's actual font is? That's really small to me. As to why would people complain about Vista, I've belonged to many forums where the only answer you get to a question like this is, "Don't use Vista". It gets a bit annoying after awhile, as I'm sure you can imagine!!
jewelisheaven Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Then you're in luck. The developers put special care into the in-development 1.8 build to respect current display profiles You can get it from the Announcements forum, and it would be a good idea to test it out self-encapsulated before migrating.
bjdobson Posted February 3, 2008 Author Report Posted February 3, 2008 Really? Cool!! I'll try that. Thank you!!
Ultima Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Why would anyone complain about Vista?Because I've really tried to use it many times already, and it's annoyed me every single time. It's not like I went in expecting it to be bad either; I went in wanting to like it, but always came back annoyed I suppose that can be remedied if I give it enough time, but it's ridiculous that I had less trouble getting used to Gnome and KDE than I did getting adjusted to Vista -- and it's still Windows [/rant]
bjdobson Posted February 5, 2008 Author Report Posted February 5, 2008 ROFL Ultima!!!! I hear it all the time!!! I use Vista on one machine out of four and it took me quite awhile to get used to it and a TON of Googling of "How do I disable this" and "How do I make this stop doing this" and on and on and on!!! LOL
