Hi

I have RSS working fine on my machine, but im having some issues on my girlfriends laptop. Ive added a few RSS feeds to the reader, added some rules, and set everything up exactly as I have on mine. Thing is, the Releases tab is empty, and when I click on Update Now a message 'connection closed by peer...' shows at the bottem and then goes to the default Next Update in XX:XX message... leaving the list empty. I know the feeds are working, I can see releases on my machine. The feeds are browsable via a web browser so they are accessable to her. Ive narrowed it to possibly:

The fact the laptop is using Windows Vista Home Premium, whereas im on XP

The fact she is in Uni halls on a hall wide network for her internet, whereas im on Virgin Media.

The internet may be the main cause, but I cant understand why a web browser can see the files, yet effectively just an RSS reader cant? Are there any fiddles or workarounds I can do? Is it possibly Vista?

Im fully open to suggestions.

cheers

It's possible installed software is mucking with packets. If the address doesn't resolve in uT, check for security software or filtering apps like peerguardian... antyhing interfering with normal sending of packets from utorrent.exe could be at fault.
