yellow triangle using cable modem

I'm having this problem, that utorrent only shows the yellow triangle... I don't know how to portforward and went to the page, but my modem is not in the list.. it's an rca model dcm245... I do get connection becuase i've downloaded, but at really slow speeds... With modems do i still need to portforward!? What should i do!? I use cable/modem connection...

... Does the modem have multiple ports OUT (1 IN from your ISP, X OUT to your computers) it's easy to say YES. If on the other hand you don't know where it is, check your ipconfig output. If it's in the private range, ex 192.168.x.x 172.16.x.x or 10.x.x.x , go to your "Gateway Address" in the browser to configure it. Also my post explains other steps/procedures go check for forwarding.

It has the ethernet cable, that it connects the modem to the computer... and it has the cable one. My gateway address is a 10.61.0.221. How do i go to the gateway address!? I just put those numbers in the address bar!? I tried that and it does nothing. Thanks for your help.

Hmm and is your LAN IP also 10.61.x.x ? If you can't connect to that IP in the browser, it means that you're permanently firewalled ... I think :/ Like in my post generally speaking, you should be able to configure your gateway for port forwarding. If you can't you're kinda stuck and your best bet is to configure yourself to best utilize your connection (follow Speed Guide settings for your speedtest results)... make sure not to overload your connection... and go from there.

If you haven't already done so, try enabling UPnP in Preferences > Connection. If that doesn't work, then there probably isn't much you can do about the port forwarding.

Probably.

When you put it in your browser address bar, did you put a http:// in front of it? Some browsers behave stupidly and don't append it.

Looks to me like your installation of that Symantec software is broken... You might want to reinstall/uninstall it properly.

It is uninstalled... I have the nod 32 now... That's what I was looking that it apperas there... should I delete them from the hijack directly? Because I was watching the it's supposed to be in prgram files on the symantec folder.. but that folder doesnt exist anymore.... !??

It doesn't look like it's been uninstalled properly, considering how at least one Symantec service is still running -- who knows what else is hooked? Deleting the entries won't do you one bit of good, as that won't get rid of any remenants.

when i did that I made it with the norton uninstall... and it doesnt appear in the add or remove programs.... What should i do to fix that!??
