poorman Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Sometimes when I download files using utorrent I saw some of the peers always 0% complete but I had upload hundreds MB to that peer and since the peer is always 0% I can't download any files from the peers. (uTorrent said one of them is using BitComet 0.86) Is it a bug of utorrent or that peer using a modified version of bit torrent client? Thanks.
jewelisheaven Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 bitcomet is a separate client from uT and BitTorrent (mainline)... There is an option (at least in ut) where you can elect to not send HAVEs to seeds, but I'm not sure if it applies to downloaders also :/ If you dislike the client's behaviour you can always add it to http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_is_ipfilter.dat.3F
torrero Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 This happens often. But when you stop the torrent and then resume, the percentage will jump up to the correct value (if you reconnect to the same peer). Bitcomet is one of the clients that does not "update" just in time.
