Clarification Reagrding Ipfilter

while downloading a movie, i started getting so many FAILED HASH CHECK and eventually the in the Logger i saw the Ips getting banned.

i want to know whether the ips are banned permanently? or just of that particular session only?

I am afraid i will again start getting huge failed hash checks..now i have enabled Ipfilter. Can someone give me some idea about it please?

IIRC, they're banned on the particular torrent job until the torrent is removed from µTorrent. I may well be wrong, though, since I seem to recall something about a 24 hour expiration.

Enabling IPfilter is great. The bans are per session so you may want to actually create ipfilter.dat and put those banned IPs into it. http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_is_ipfilter.dat.3F

thanks for the info..yeah i successfully created the ipfilter.dat with the 16 ips and coud download the torrent without any hassle
