bryank
now that it is installed when I click on the shortcut link on my desktop it says it cant find the .exe file. I think the wife may have been messing with things today. I would like to delete it and reinstall it.
Firon
µTorrent doesn't install. Just re-download the exe and save it to the desktop or whatever folder you want.
bryank
this is what the FAQ says to uninstall....Delete the exe. If you're concerned about the settings being left on your PC, delete the folder uTorrent in %AppData%. Where is %AppData%?
Firon
THe FAQ also explains that.

Chrono79
I think I can help you with your problem:If you already have µtorrent.exe somewhere (and want to keep using it), edit your shortcut (or delete it and create another one) it isn't pointing to the exe (that's why it says it cant find the .exe file in the first place). Maybe someone deleted/moved/renamed the .exe or renamed a folder in it's path.If you want to remove all µtorrent related files (copies of .torrent files):Open explorer (windows explorer, not internet explorer) and type in the address bar %AppData%\uTorrent and hit enter (Start - Run - %AppData%\uTorrent will work too). It will lead you to where µtorrent stores some files, delete that folder. And delete the shortcut in your desktop (you don't need it anymore). I think you've already deleted the .exe if not, do it. That's it, no more µtorrent files in your system.
