DomZ
BitmeTV.org is banning 131B. I tried to download 3 torrents off the site. Had to go back to Azureus.Yeh, kinda disappointing for me, oh well.
GhostDog
why go back to Az when you can just use the official v1.3?You make a good point, I would prefer to use the official client, but I the RSS feed integration of the beta is an important feature for me. I look forward to the official release of 1.3.1.
HorizonX
Ditto here. I'm a member at bitme.org and they have 131B banned as well, just because it's in "beta". Allowed in all 6 other private trackers I belong to though. I *love* this client. I hope ludde keeps up the good work, that guy is a WIZARD!! :-D
lament
January 25, from BitmeTV:By popular request we are lifting our ban on the use of the newest BETA version of uTorrent. Before you rush out and download the beta it is VITAL you read and understand the following conditions of use.The updated uTorrent specific rules are as follows:BitMeTV ONLY supports the use of the current official stable release. This is the release listed as newest on the homepage of the client. We do NOT support, i.e. give advice on, ANY other version.Older stable versions MAY work for a maximum of 2 weeks after the newer version is released. The most up to date BETA may also be used. All older BETAs WILL be banned with no notice. What does this mean to you the user?If you use the current stable you should check for updates once every week (the client will also do this every time you reboot it or if you press check for update). Alternatively bookmark their homepage. If you opt to use the BETA you WILL find that unless you stay up to date on daily basis you will find your older version banned. This will likely mean that you will still be uploading but NOT getting credit. Now the most important bit....If for ANY reason your client does something bad to the swarm or gets stats wrong you will be given NO leniancy and will be banned just like any other user. This last part is not up for debate and is the RISK YOU ACCEPT when using the BETA.
Firon
Yeah, by their request, the betas now have the build number in the HTTP headers, so they can ban older betas and make users upgrade. No point hiding it, plus it makes it more convenient for tracker users (so they dno't have users on old potentially buggier betas)
