a problem with sharing torrent files

In my city (Vilnius, LT) me and my friend we tried share a torrent file. I was made a torrent for file on my hard disk and I sent this torrent to my friend. He downloaded file succesfully.

But, to do the same with a friend from Moscow, Russia was not succesfull. utorrent shows like it is downloading a file, but nothing downloading, nothing happens. We are using the same utorrent software.

What a suggestion would be solving this problem?
