ilovejazzmusic
i can be downloading a torrent nice and fast, but after a while it suddently stops and i get the "torrent not working" icon - the white X in the red square. if i press "start", the torrent starts downloading again nice and fast, until it just stops once more. this is not torrent-specific - it has happened to a couple of torrents i've tried to download.why is this happening? what can i do to stop it happening?thanks... jewelisheaven
red X doesn't mean torrent not working it means an error occurred. If you double click at the top of the column headers, just right of "Status" it will auto-expand to see the full error. What does it say?

jewelisheaven
In that case you should turn off / disable indexing in your download folder for all search indexers, media indexers, and some resident scanning engines. If that doesn't make any sense to you please look through the How-To, and skip to the part where it asks for HiJackThis or Process Explorer logs.HJT is relatively simple, do a full scan save the results and copy-paste it below. Process Explorer on the other hands requires some configuration. When you download it as a .zip, open procexp.exe, Ctrl-L, Ctrl-D, click utorrent.exe, Ctrl-A and then copy-paste the log below Hopefully that should point out immediately what's wrong.
