superaki
Hey, since a while i use utorrent for downloading torrents. But now when i use it webpages take minutes to load, I can't play games without being kicked because of high pings,or any other application.. i tried forwarding the port it uses but it didn 't really help. and now my parents say it is unsafe to forward a port because others can access your computer, is this true? Can anybody help me with the problem?we have 8 mb down and 1 mb up internet connection, so that shouldnt be the problem.

superaki
Ok i did open up a port in the router while my parents weren't here and problem was solved.. But what if they find out, does it really damage security of my pc+network?
jewelisheaven
Wait. Opening the port in the router fixed your computer unresponsiveness? There is no more security issue with you opening up a port for uT than it is for you to do it so you can game or use Skype. With your rule, the ONLY time something is "open" is when you are running the program. Otherwise it's like you've got a door, but noone has the key and the security system is ON. When you've got uT on, the door is unlocked, the peers who know your connection info have the key and are allowed in. Noone else is allowed in because they lack the key. superaki
I also solved the problem by disabling Kaspersky, but then my pc is vulnerable.. so does anyone have a solution for this?(and not using a better firewall i guess plz^^)

superaki
arghh.. I said i don't want another AVS/Firewall.. i'd like to get utorrent working while running kaspersky.. anyone have suggestions?
Firon
You can keep the AV, but it looks like Kaspersky's firewall is broken. See if there's an update, and if there isn't, you don't have a choice.
GTHK
If you have a router, just remove the firewall component and leave the other stuff that's present right now (if you just disable, Kaspersky will say you have a security problem, a router already blocks incoming crap and the anti-virus takes care of what's already inside). superaki
Ok, but if try looking it up it doesn't say anywhere 'firewall' in kaspersky, does someone have kaspersky and/or knows how to do it, what should i look for?
