mickmartin Posted February 16, 2008 Report Share Posted February 16, 2008 Hey, this is my first post but i'm having speed issue's and cant seem to figure out the problem.I'm in the uk on virginmedia's 20mb broadband service,My downloads very rarely get to or above 500k? thats even with lots of seeds/peers. I've played around with the settings and forwarded my port for Utorrent.I'm usings a micradigital router made by belkin, could this be my problem? Or are there any recommended settings?Thanks in advance guys.MickEDIT - Just read a bit on here and downloaded open office, It d/l at 1.2mbps.......So ive kinda answered my own question, its must be the availability of the torrents i'm choosing. Switeck Posted February 19, 2008 Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 Your max upload speed is probably barely 100 KiloBYTES/sec if that.So I seriously doubt you have a 20 megabits/sec UPLOAD connection.Try to spell out whether you mean bits/sec or BYTES/sec, as the confusion on that can result in estimates being off by 10 times.
