mishkin
Is there some info on exactly what it does and the benifits... I think I know what it doesI was using 1.8 before and it had this feature... atm I"m using 1.7.7 because it's less glitchy but doesn't have this feature...When I"m downloading at 4-5MB/s my upload speed drops from about 6MB/s down to about 0.5Mb/s... if I had the windows cache disabled would I get a better result? jewelisheaven
When windows cache fills up you get no throughput because all of it is working on flushing the buffer from data stored due to inadequate speeds on the hard drive. There's a reason it's only in 1.
mishkin
and that reason is?do you mean the disabling is causing glitches?
jewelisheaven
The reason is the feature is new. 1.7 was indevelopment last year (almost a year actually)... what glitches have you had with it? I don't remember seeing you comment about problems with it in the in-dev thread.
