ravimodi
Hi,I am facing this problem for last 15-20 days. Whenever I start utorrent the computer restarts after approximately 5-8 mins of working. If utorrent is not started then the computers works properly for hours & my Internet connection is always on. I have also updated the utorrent to latest version 1.7.7 but still no relief. There has be no major change in Operating system although U have been downloading & installing programs. I have also scaned with latest nod32 antivirus but no virus present. I am using all the default settings of utorrent & not made any special changes. Please guide me what can be solution to above problem ?Ravi Modi

Firon
Try uninstalling Zone Alarm. It's quite buggy and often causes bluescreen issues.
ravimodi
I don't think Zone Alarm is causing this problem as I have been using zone alarm for past several months and previously utorrent used to run properly. Also on my other office computer Zone Alarm & utorrent is working problem. I have notices one thing with Zone alarm :This time when I started utorrent, zone alarm gave message that utorrent is trying to act as server. Should it be allowed ? I replied No and for the past 20-25 mins utorrent is working & there is no restart. btw if zonealarm is buggy which other firewall do you recommend ?Ravi Modi
Firon
Trust me, ZA is known to cause problems with TONS of applications. And uh, Comodo is a pretty decent choice. Outpost also works.

Firon
You can't shut it down. It stays hooked in. You MUST uninstall it.
Pin
I'm having the same problem as Ravi, although the time frame of using utorrent before shutdown isn't always as short. sometimes it'll be fine for up to an hour. I don't use zone alarm. any suggestions? If it helps any, this is the error report from windows.BCCode: 100000d1 BCP1: 00000006 BCP2:00000002 BCP3: 00000000BCP4: BA712504 OSVer:5_1_2600 SP: 2_o Product: 256_1
